We had booked to go to the Motown night at the Top of the Terrace at Carrow Road so wanted somewhere close by to eat. None of us had tried Yellows so we decided to book – an easy process using the online booking system on the website. It was easy to get a table for 5 at our chosen time. It was not particularly busy on a Saturday night at 7.45 which was a minor concern on a home match day. We were quickly shown to a table and given the extensive menu. Drinks and food were ordered without issue and when the food arrived we all knew we had made the right choice. Everybody agreed the food was excellent, the wait was not long and everybody got exactly what they ordered. Generous portions were received for all dishes which were well cooked and very well received. Dessert was definitely on the cards and once again they were excellent. Try the American Hanger Steak – something new for me – absolutely superb. The 3 large doughnuts with butterscotch, strawberry and chocolate sauce, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles (all in individual dishes) were a bit of an indulgence but hey…. Overall a great meal and we will definitely be going back. Minor gripe – drinks service was a bit slow.

Lovely atmosphere and staff, however can’t cater for large groups of people at one table. We waited 30 mins for food, some of it was cold, burgers still raw or incorrect order. We then had to wait a further 30 mins for these to be re-cooked, by this time others within our group had finished their meals.

Two of us arrived on a Saturday night at about 6pm and are lucky enough to get the last available table. This diner is very busy, but we were served in good time. A pretty good choice of drinks either wine, American beers, or the usual soft drinks. I chose the Quarterpounder Cheeseburger with bacon with fries and a side order of coleslaw and my partner had a Halfpounder Chilli Burger with fries. The burger was delicious with plenty of lean bacon and cheese. The coleslaw was enough for four people! My partners Chilli burger was absolutely huge and he said was really tasty. The staff were very friendly and we were served pretty quickly considering the number of people in there. Although the tables and benches are a little dated, it is set out just like an American diner which suits the restaurant perfectly. A great place for plenty of reasonably priced good food. I will be paying another visit in the not too distant future.
