A lovely traditional Norfolk Inn, set in the countryside. On arrival you are welcomed by the friendly staff. We had booked a table for eight for Sunday lunchtime at 1pm. The restaurant was very busy but we were served straight away by a friendly waiter and waitresses. The choice of food was amazing, with meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. A good choice of starters and two pages of desserts! I chose the home made lasagne with chunky chips, peas and a salad garnish – absolutely delicious! My partner had the duck with new potatoes and vegetables which he said was lovely. Mum had the salmon with salad and when you say salad, oh my goodness, it was on a plate as big as the salmon was on. The desserts were amazing and I had the bakewell tart with custard, it was like I was in heaven, fluffy light pastry with lots of jam with a lovely almond sponge sprinkled with almond flakes. My partner had the chocolate brownies with chocolate sauce and ice cream. We certainly did not go home hungry! There were plenty of choices of drinks from the bar, a long list of wines, real ales from the hand pumps and a fantastic choice of lagers. A very pleasant experience, one of which I will be repeating very soon……… Plenty of outside seating with gardens to the front and rear.
